are some frequently asked questions about PAK-RAK
watercraft version.

What size pick-up is required to mount watercraft version of the PAK-RAK?
- A. An eight foot
truck bed is recommended, especially for use with the 3 seaters. Recommended
bed height is up to 37 inches. Total RAK weight is 275 lbs.
- Q.
What is the weight of the PAK-RAK section in the truck after
RAIL/watercraft are dropped off?
- A. Remaining weight
is 180 lbs. This remaining section can be removed as a single section
in less than 10 minutes. Pull four bolts from the top, disconnect
the one power lead and slide off.
- Q.
How much maintenance will this RAK require?
- A. The mechanics
of the RAK are simple. Structural steel parts are powder coated.
Steel hardware is zinc plated with additional corrosion resistant
treatment added. After use in salt water, it is suggested to rinse
with fresh water. Occasionally wipe down TRACK section with greaseless
lubricant (WD40) on rag.

Can this version of the PAK-RAK be used to transport motorcycles?
- A. Yes, with an
additional motorcycle RAIL and associated hardware.

How does the PAK-RAK attach to the truck bed?
- A. The RAK
bolts down to 4 threaded plates that are placed under the truck bed.
These plates are permanently attached to the bed with the supplied
industrial adhesive.
- Q.
How difficult is installation of the RAK?
- A. The installation
is simple. The RAK is shipped completely assembled. Slide the
unit off of the shipping skid onto the truck bed. Drill thru bed at
the four attach points of the assembly. Apply the industrial adhesive
strips to threaded plates per the instructions, and bolt down the
assembly. Complete the electrical connection from RAK to truck
battery. All electric wire, connectors, and fuse are included.
